Bikers on Parade 2017

11/10/2017 (Permalink)

Just a few of the Bikes lined up and waiting for the parade.

It was once again time for the Annual Bikers on Parade, which began at Santa-Fe College and ended at the Gainesville Raceway on November 5th, 2017.  Many Gainesville area businesses sponsor and participate in this annual event, including State Representative Chuck Clemons (District 21).  The route winds through Gainesville with it's residents lining the street waving, and it's proceeds benefit the non-profit grassroots organization 10 CAN.  The mission of 10 CAN is to honor, revive, and grow Military and First Responder families through outdoor recreation, education, and rehabilitation. 10 CAN is a tribe of Veterans and Volunteers making an impact for those in need. Reconnecting families following combat deployments, developing youth through rite of passages, and building public awareness of moral wounds. This event is an important way to bring veterans and members of their community together and bring awareness to some of the struggles of veterans and First Responders into the light of day.  SERVPRO of Alachua County West is proud to be one of more than 500 a participants in this event.  This event was the perfect way to kick off the days coming into the observance of Veteran's Day on November 11th, 2017.
